A Tribute to Seoyun Jung’s Legacy

The year was 2012.
I was 17, in college, navigating my own challenges, and still trying to figure out where I belonged in the world.
Then, something happened that I’ll never forget.

I was honored with The Seoyun Jung Memorial Award for Endeavour,
A tribute award given in memory of Seoyun Jung, a bright soul who left this world far too soon.

Even though I didn’t know her well, I knew the kind of person she was:

Kind.
Genuine.
Full of life.

She left a mark on everyone she met.
And somehow, I was chosen to receive this award in her name.

It wasn’t just about academic performance or achievements.
It was about something deeper.

Resilience.
Determination.
The will to keep going, even when no one is watching.

That moment was more than just recognition.

It was a sign that hard work, perseverance, and a good heart never go unnoticed.
I carry that lesson with me every day.
